BSI UIN Alauddin Showcases Creative Performances at ENLITE FEST 2025

Makassar, July 10, 2025 – Students from the English Language and Literature Department (BSI), Faculty of Adab and Humanities, UIN Alauddin Makassar, delivered compelling performances at ENLITE FEST 2025, a collaborative literary and cultural festival held at D’Edelweiss Ballroom UNIFA Makassar. The event carried the theme “Experience the Epic Ensemble Words and Works.”

The event opened with welcoming remarks from representatives of both institutions,  including the head organizing  commitee students of both departments: Awaluddin and Miftahul Rizki, the representative of literature lecturers: Dr. Muh Taufik S.S., M.Hum., the Head of the English Literature Program at UNIFA: Dr. Bahar, M.Hum, the Dean of Economi and Social faculty: Dr. Yusmanizar, S.Sos., M.I.Kom, and the Deputy Rector III of UNIFA: Muhammad Bisyri., S.Ksi, M.I. Kom

BSI students contributed to various segments of the program, including poetry musicalizations such as Unity In Harmony and A Home Within You, a short film screening, and the drama performance No Miserable Ending. These artistic presentations were the collaboration of four subjects: English Drama, English Poetry, Cross Cultural Understanding, and Internship by  Syahruni Junaid, S.S., M.Pd., Dr. M. Taufik, SS., M.Hum, Dr. Juliastuti S, M.Hum, Dr. Nasrum, M.A  reflected the department’s commitment to nurturing language skills, creativity, and cultural awareness through performance-based learning.




Adding to the occasion, Dr. Rosmah Tami, S.Ag., M.Sc., M.A., Head of the English Language and Literature Department at UIN Alauddin Makassar, delivered a poetry recital as part of the program. Her participation underscored the department’s active support and engagement in fostering artistic expression among students.

In his address, Dr. Bahar, S.Pd., M.Hum., Head of the English Literature Program at UNIFA, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration and its impact. He noted that the event was enthusiastically received and attended by around 200 people, including lecturers from both UIN Alauddin Makassar and Universitas Fajar. He also conveyed his hope that future editions of the festival would involve even more universities and continue to provide platforms for students to explore and showcase their creative potential.

With its vibrant performances and academic purpose, ENLITE FEST 2025 reaffirmed the importance of integrating art, language, and inter-university partnerships in enriching student learning experiences.
