Sandra Dewi Dahlan, M.A., as a lecturer in the English Language and Literature Department, Adab and Humanities Faculty, Alauddin Islamic State University of Makassar, took part as a facilitator in the national activity Orientation for Pioneers of Religious Moderation, which was organized by the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of South Sulawesi Province and lasted for four days at the Hotel Royal Bay Makassar.
H. Muh. Tonang, Head of the South Sulawesi Ministry of Religion's Regional Office, really emphasizes the importance of carrying out this activity with the aim and hope that this program will continue to target various elements of society, including religious leaders, community organizations, Islamic boarding schools, educational institutions, TNI/Polri, youth leaders, and others.
As a national facilitator, Sandra Dewi Dahlan, M.A., provided insight and guidance to participants regarding the importance of religious moderation, as it is generally known that Indonesia is a multicultural country. "My involvement in this activity is an opportunity to share knowledge and experience about religious moderation. "We hope to increase awareness of the importance of a moderate attitude in dealing with differences in beliefs," he said during the event.
His experience as a lecturer means he is able to provide a broad perspective and convey the message of religious moderation to participants from various different backgrounds. This activity is expected to have a positive impact on increasing awareness of the importance of religious moderation in society.
