American Romanticism was a literary, artistic, and philosophical movement from the 1830s to about 1865 in America that celebrated individualism, the exploration of emotions to discover truth, nature as a spiritual connection, and wanted to define a unique American national identity.
The purpose of presenting this material is none other than to introduce American literature to students in the era of romanticism.
