On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, the Student Association of the Department of English Language and Literature (HIMABSI) successfully held an English Class, aimed at providing additional learning opportunities for students in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere. The class, led by Wafiq Azizah, Vice President of the English Department Student Association and a seventh-semester English Language and Literature student, took place at HIMABSI's External Secretariat, located at Perum. Patri Abdullah Permai, Lrg. 1.
The class, which began at 2:00 PM and continued until the evening, focused on key language topics such as adjectives, adverbs, and conjunctions. The session was attended by students from the department, with the majority being new students of English Language and Literature (BSI). The event was designed as a peer tutoring program, fostering a sense of community while offering additional support for students outside of formal classroom settings.
One of the participants, Tiara Rahmadani, a first-year student in the English Language and Literature program, shared her positive experience, stating, "The way the material was delivered made it much easier to understand than in class. The explanations were detailed and allowed us to cover aspects that are often not fully addressed in regular lectures."
This English Class is part of HIMABSI's ongoing efforts to enhance student learning and create opportunities for peer interaction, contributing to both academic and personal development within the department.
