English and Literature Department organized the Preparation of Internship on Monday, 3rd October 2022 in LT room Faculty of Adab and Humanities. The event was officially opened by the Dean of FAH and also delivered his speech to 120 students of the 7th semester as the internship participants. As the trainee, they will be placed on some government institutions and Non-Government Organization, schools and some medias.
This program purposefully carried out to prepare students are ready to apply their language skills in their internship locations. As they have learned and got knowledge from many subjects, it is hoped they will got some valuable experiences specially in exploring their language skills and building communication with the head of office and other staffs as it was stated the head of English and Literature Department Dr. Jumharia Djamereng, M.Hum. and also as chairman of the committee. Therefore, it is important to determine the institutions based on the relation of language skills and selected location.
In completing the preparation for internship program, there were 3 materials arranged. Firstly, the material that was presented by H. Muh. Nur Akbar Rasyid, M.Pd, M.Ed, Ph.D. who presented Islamic Ethics in Organization and Societies. Thus, Dr. Hj. Nuri Emmiyati, M.Pd. Presented Language Competence Actualization in socieites while Literature competence Actualization presented by Dr. Rosma Tami. M.Sc M.A. These materials hopefully may empower the students motivation, ethics, good manner, discipline, and language skills when they are working in their internship locations. Students need to bear in mind that competences should be completed by soft skills in order to be succeed in the future.
