UINAM young lecturer selected as AIMEP representative of Australian government program

AIMEP is an Australian Government program that supports visits by young Indonesian Muslim Leaders to Australia, to exchange experiences with the Australian Public and Leading Academics, Non-Governmental Organisations, Religious Leaders, Media and Australian Government representatives. AIMEP plays a role an important role in Promoting Understanding, Cooperation and Mutual Respect between the two countries. The program is organised by the Mosaic Connection and sponsored by the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Australia Indonesia Institute.

After the selection of documents and interviews in 2021, Waode Surya Darmadali was selected to be one of the delegates from Indonesia to take part in 3 month online session with various themes presenting speakers from Indonesia and Australia. Gratitude, 18 Indonesian delegates including young Muslim leaders from various Government and Non-Government organizations, educators had the opportunity to visit Australia (Sydney and Melbeurne) for 9 days in various Government and Non-Government Organizations, Mosques, especially Muslim Institutions and Media.

As a lecturer at BSI UIN Alauddin Makassar, Waode had the Oportunity to build Collaboration and Networking in the Fields of Research, Teaching, and Community Assistance. This visit is a spiritual and Intellectual Journey that is very insightful and designed very comprehensive so that participants can get Multicultural Experiences, especially Muslim Life and are very useful in Teaching later in Cross Culture Understanding Classes.
