Initially I interned
in the Regional Secretariat staff section, but after about a month or so in the
Regional Secretariat section, I was moved to the general section because there
was a slight shortage of staff there.
My friends and I have
slightly different tasks. My friends recorded and disposed of the
letter, while I was immediately directed to access an application called
Bureaucracy Information System and e-Government Manufacturing. Now this
application is the link for letters regarding activities, permits, etc., to the
regional secretary, who will then coordinate with the regent.
Coincidentally at
that time I only learned the application in one day, I also easily remembered the layout used in the office,
so I was given the task of running the application during my internship. Maybe
this is the result of my experience of being active in many organizations and
having also been the head of a performance project on campus. I really applied all the skills, both hard and soft that
I acquired during college at the internship location. One of them is that I can
easily build social relationships without hesitation helping
other staff.
Thank God, while in
the office whether in the Regional Secretariat staff section or the
general section all the staff were very kind and easily got along with
the intern students.
A week before the internship ended, because
the staff were often overwhelmed because they had to do several tasks, the head
of the general department then called me to continue working after the
internship was over (That was also based on recommendations from the staff
where I interned.)
Thank God, after asking the staff, the staff supported me to come in
and continue working.
Apart from the application of the
Bureaucracy Information System and e-Government Manufacturing Takalar Regency, I
was then trusted to access another application, which was a more upgraded
version of the old application. Which has wider connections too.
Thanks to this course, I discovered many useful things because we were sent directly into the field. Not only that, we felt like we were simulating entering the world of work. Starting with applying to the location, being considered, being accepted, and working. Maybe I was one of the students in the class of 2020 who took part in this internship class and got long-term benefits because I was finally recruited as staff. Hopefully, my studies will be completed soon so I can meet the requirements to enter the database.
