Makassar, April 1, 2026 —
The Faculty of Adab and Humanities held a Graduation Reception and Gathering
to honor the 117th cohort of graduates on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Alauddin
Centre Hotel, Jalan Sultan Alauddin, Makassar. The event brought together
faculty leaders, including the Dean, Prof. Dr. H.Barsihannor, M.Ag. the Vice
Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Yusuf, M.Pd. and the Vice Dean for Finance, Dr. Irvan
Muladi, SS., S.Ag., MA. along with graduates, their parents, lecturers, and
administrative staff.
The reception marked a
significant milestone in recognizing the academic accomplishments of the
graduates while fostering a sense of community and appreciation among all
attendees. The atmosphere reflected both pride and gratitude as families and
members of the academic community celebrated the graduates’ achievements.
In his address, the Dean
expressed sincere appreciation to the parents for entrusting the faculty with
the education of their sons and daughters. He encouraged the graduates to
remain committed to their future aspirations, to uphold strong moral values,
and to contribute meaningfully to society and the nation, while continuing to
honor and support their parents.
The Chair of the
Organizing Committee presented a report highlighting the academic excellence of
the top graduates. Andi Omar Pallawa Budiman, S.Hum, from the English Language
and Literature Department, was recognized as the top graduate with a Grade Point
Average (GPA) of 3.92. The second-highest honor was awarded to Nurjannah,
S.Hum, with a GPA of 3.91, followed by Aulia Nuramalia Poetri, S.Hum, who
achieved a GPA of 3.82.
The recognition of these
outstanding graduates was met with enthusiastic applause, reflecting the
collective appreciation for their dedication and academic excellence. Their
achievements serve as an inspiration for future graduates to pursue excellence
in their respective fields.
