Jurusan BSI mendapat kehormatan dengan bertambahnya gelar doktor pada salah satu dosennya, yaitu Faidah Yusuf, S.S., M.Pd. Ibu Faidah diberi gelar Maha Terpelajar tersebut setelah melalui ujian Promosi Dokter pada Universitas Negeri Makassar, Rabu 15 Januari 2019. Promosi Doktor tersebut dihadiri tidak saja oleh segenap dosen dan mahasiswa Bahasa dan sastra Inggris melainkan juga segenap civitas akademika Fakultas Adab dan Humaniora, bahkan lingkup Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin. Hal membanggakan lainnya adalah Dr. Faidah Yusuf, M.Pd lulus dengan predikat Cumlaude dengan IPK 3.95. Turut hadir memberi dukungan dan sambutan Dekan FAH, Dr. HAsyim Haddade, M.Ag.

The English and Literature Department received an honor by adding a doctorate degree to one of its lecturers, namely Faidah Yusuf, S.S., M.Pd. Ms. Faidah was given the title of Most Educated after going through the Doctor Promotion exam at Makassar State University, Wednesday, January 15, 2019. The Doctoral Promotion was attended not only by all lecturers and students of English language and literature but also all academicians of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, even within the university.
