Makassar,- Pembelajaran online adalah sebuah lingkungan
belajar terbuka dan tersebar yang menggunakan pendekatan pedagogik, dimungkinkan
melalui teknologi internet dan berbasis WEB, membantu pengajaran dan membangun
pengetahuan melalui tindakan dan interaksi yang lebih mudah.
Demikian ungkap Muhammad Taufik, dalam paparanya saat ujian
promosi doktor untuk meraih gelar doktor dibidang PendBasri Pendidikan Bahasa
Inggris pada Program Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Makassar. Senin (31/8).
Dihadapan promotor dan dewan menguji yang terdiri dari Prof
Dr Nurdin Noni, Prof Dr Baso Jabu, Prof Drs Muhammad Djafar, Prof Dr Aspa
Rahman, Prof Dr Sukardi Weda, Prof Dr Fathu Rahman selaku penguji external
menjelaskan isi desertasi yang berjudul Developing Cyber-Literature Based
Instruction English at Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar.
“Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan
mahasiswa akan pembelajaran sastra Inggris dengan menggunakan e-learning,”kata
mantan wartawan Tribun Timur ini. Salah satu strategi dalam mempermudah
pembelajaran online utamanya diera pandemik covid 19, dimana mahasiswa
berlakukan pembelajaran dari rumah, lanjutnya, menggunakan tool open source
ESCLEN 4.0.
Menurut laki-laki kelahiran, Sumbawa ini, dibutuhkan waktu
selama tiga tahun untuk mengembangkan tool tersebut. “Penelitian ini dilakukan
untuk mengembangkan modul pengajaran berbasis cyber-literature menggunakan R
& D Borg and Gall Model,”jelasnya.
Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa angkatan
2018/2019. Populasi adalah mahasiswa
Jurusan BSI UIN Alauddin Makassar.
Sampel diambil sebanyak 45 mahasiswa dan 4 dosen. Peneliti mengumpulkan data menggunakan
kuesioner, wawancara dan dokumentasi.
Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif.
Taufik menambahkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebanyakan mahasiswa mengharapkan dosen
mereka mengajarkan dengan mengintegrasikan language skills dalam menggunakan
cyber-literature dalam pembelajaran sastra berbasis e-literature.
“Materi instruksional
berbasis cyber-literature dirancang untuk memfasilitasi kebutuhan saat ini
dalam bentuk ESCLEN 4.0. Cyber-literature dirancang dengan tool interaktif yang
tidak hanya menarik mahasiswa dan dosen namun juga meningkatkan keterampilan
sastra, dan model pembelajaran
cyber-literature dianggap model pembelajaran efektif sebagai tool dalam
meningkatkan pembelajaran mandiri,”kata pengasuh Mata Kuliah English Poetry
ini.
Selain itu, lanjut Dosen BSI ini, aksesibilitas baik mahasiswa dan dosen lebih karena tool
ini user-friendly, sistem yang fleksibel dan memenuhi kebutuhan pembelajaran
saat ini. Diakhir ujian promosi Taufik berhasil lulus dengan predikat sangat

Researching Learning English Literature
Based on Cyber Literature, The Lecturer of English and Literature Department
Receives Doctoral Degree in English Language Education at PPs UNM
Makassar- “Online learning is an
open and distributed learning environment that uses a pedagogical approach,
made possible through internet and WEB-based technology, help to teach and
build knowledge through easier action and interaction.“
This was stated by Muhammad Taufik, in his presentation during the
doctoral promotion exam to receive a doctorate in English Education at the
Makassar State University Postgraduate Program. Monday (31/8).
In front of the promoter and the test board consisting of Prof. Dr.
Nurdin Noni, Prof. Dr. Baso Jabu, Prof. Drs Muhammad Djafar, Prof. Dr. Aspa
Rahman, Prof. Dr. Sukardi Weda, Prof. Dr. Fathu Rahman as external examiner
explained the contents of the dissertation entitled Developing Cyber-Literature
Based Instruction English at Alauddin State Islamic University of Makassar.
"The purpose of this study is to identify student needs for
learning English literature using e-learning," said the former Tribun
Timur journalist. One of the strategies to facilitate online learning,
especially in the era of the Covid 19 pandemic, where students learn from home,
he continued, using the open source tool ESCLEN 4.0.
According to the man born in Sumbawa, it took three years to
develop the tool. "This research was conducted to develop a
cyber-literature based teaching module using the Borg and Gall Model R &
D," he explained.
The subjects of this study were students of the 2018/2019 class. They
are students of the BSI Department of UIN Alauddin Makassar. Samples were taken
as many as 45 students and 4 lecturers. Researchers collected data using
questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used
quantitative and qualitative methods.
Taufik added that the results of the study show that most students
expect their lecturers to teach by integrating language skills in using
cyber-literature in e-literature-based literature learning.
"Cyber-literature-based
instructional materials are designed to facilitate current needs in the form of
ESCLEN 4.0. Cyber-literature is designed with interactive tools that not only
attract students and lecturers but also improve literary skills, and the
cyber-literature learning model is considered an effective learning model as a
tool in improving independent learning, "said the tutor of the English
Poetry Course.
In addition, the BSI lecturer continued, accessibility for both students
and lecturers is more because this tool is user-friendly, a flexible system and
meets current learning needs. At the end of the promotion exam, Taufik
successfully passed with honors.
