In order to measure basic TOEFL skill of the new student of English and Literature Department, English Laboratory conducted online TOEFL Pre-Test on Saturday , 18 September 2021. The event started at 9am with the introduction into TOEFL  delivered by Ibu Dr. Hj. Nuri Emmiyati as the head of English Laboratory.

Firstly, she explained about what is English Proficiency Test and its type of test. The, she mentioned in a very detail about TOEFL ITP test type of questions and so on. Such information is indeed very beneficial for the new students since most of them haven't taken TOEFL test before, and some of them just heard about TOEFL.

The TOEFL test started at 9.30 and 117 freshmen participated. However, because the event was held online via Zoom, some participants were unable to hear the recording of the listening test due to their bad internet connection. Meanwhile, structured and reading test seemed fine, even though they hardy read the text for reading through their mobile phone or laptop.

After two hours  dealing with questions which they found very challenging, they finished the TOEFL test around 11.30.
