Gowa, November 14, 2024 – A workshop aimed at simplifying Course Outlines (RPS) for better student comprehension was held at RM Reso Dapur Tepi Danau Mawang. Organized by the Faculty of Adab and Humanities of UIN Alauddin Makassar, the event gathered a significant number of faculty members, including the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Barsihannor.

The workshop focused on streamlining the RPS format to make it easier for students to understand and follow. Discussions revolved around methods for simplifying the RPS structure without compromising its academic rigor, with the goal of improving student engagement and learning outcomes.

The event featured two distinguished speakers. Dr. Ridwan Andi Kambau, S.T., M.Kom, an expert in the field, delivered a presentation on utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create efficient and accessible RPS. Dr. Kambau introduced several AI tools such as ChatPDF, Connected Paper, and Gamma.AI, highlighting how these technologies can assist educators in developing and simplifying course outlines.

The workshop was well-received, with attendees expressing great interest in incorporating AI tools into their own academic practices. Many participants praised the innovative ideas presented, particularly in regard to how AI can enhance curriculum development and improve teaching effectiveness.

This workshop serves as a significant initiative by the Faculty of Adab and Humanities to foster professional development among faculty members and to adopt modern technologies that support student-centered learning.
