Gowa, October 31, 2025 — The Language Development Center (PPB) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta facilitated a seminar for the English Language and Literature Department (BSI) at UIN Alauddin Makassar. The seminar aimed to enhance the capacity of program study managers in designing, managing, and evaluating foreign language assessments.

The event was led by Kustiwan, S.Ag., M.A., Ph.D., Head of PPB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, together with a team of language development experts. FAH Dean, Prof. Dr. H. Barsihannor, M.Ag., along with the BSI program managers and faculty members, welcomed the seminar warmly.

During the seminar, participants explored best practices in creating standardized English language tests, assessing student proficiency, and integrating international competency standards into the BSI curriculum. The discussions also covered strategies for ongoing professional development, research collaboration, and faculty exchange to strengthen the quality of English language education.

Kustiwan expressed his appreciation for the active participation of BSI and emphasized the importance of continuous collaboration to improve language testing and learning outcomes.

The seminar concluded with the exchange of commemorative gifts and a group photo, symbolizing the shared commitment to advancing foreign language education and enhancing the capacity of BSI program managers.

Through this seminar, BSI is expected to gain practical skills and insights in foreign language test development, supporting the department’s mission to maintain high standards in English language teaching and assessment
