Thursday, 4 January 2024. Secretary of the Department of English Language and Literature, Adab and Humanities of Faculty UIN Alauddin Makassar attended the stabilization meeting of the International Conference on Humanities Studies. The activity was carried out by aRCibi Center Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Alauddin Makassar. The theme of the conference was "Artificial Intelligence Challenges to Humanities Studies: A New Paradigm in Disruption Era" by accepting several paper topics, among others: English and Literature, Linguistics, Arabic Literature, Local Culture and History, Islamic Civilization, Anthropology, Archeology, Philosophy, and Library and Information System. The schedule of the conference was agreed on January 15-16, 2024 at the University Senate Room on the 4th floor of the Rectorate building of UIN Alauddin Makassar.

The meeting agenda discussed the readiness of the committee, keynote speakers, moderators, program arrangements, etc. The Head committee, Dr. Nasrum Marjuni said, " Until now there have been 51 abstracts and 11 full papers that have been received by the committee. We will probably close the registration tomorrow, 5 January 2024." Nasrum said.

The Head and secretary of the BSA Department were also present who were part of the organizing committee hoping that the conference would run smoothly and successfully. "This is part of the BSA study program activities, we have brought linguistic experts from the Middle East. Hopefully it will provide new understanding and information about Arabic linguistics." Baso said.
