Realizing the importance of digital literacy along with technological developments, English language and literature department held community service activities discussing digital literacy with the theme "The Importance of Digital Literacy." This activity was held at the Abnaul Amir Islamic Boarding School on October 19, 2021. This activity was also attended by all Islamic boarding school students because it was combined with an English language competition.

The leader of the Islamic boarding school said in his opening that "Digital literacy is an understanding that is very necessary in using technology; it is one of the components that must be studied and understood well to be wise in using technology; therefore, the presence of UIN Alauddin Makassar students will certainly provide new understanding related to digital literacy," He said.

This activity is carried out with the hope of providing an understanding of the challenges that must be faced in a life full of technology, one of which is the flow of information, which is increasingly unstoppable, so that policies are needed to sort positive and negative content to be digested in life.
