Makassar — The Quality Assurance Group (GPM) of the English Language and Literature Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Alauddin State Islamic University of Makassar, organized a Workshop on the Development of Outcome-Based Education (OBE)-Based Teaching Materials on 27–28 January 2026 at the Senate Room of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (Ruang Senat FAH), UIN Alauddin Makassar.
The workshop was attended by members of the Faculty Quality Assurance Unit (KPM) and the Study Program Quality Assurance Group (GPM). This activity was conducted as a capacity-strengthening initiative for quality assurance members at the faculty level, which will subsequently be followed up at the departmental and study program levels.
The workshop featured Dr. Faidah Yusuf, M.Pd. as the main speaker. In her presentation, she explained the fundamental principles of Outcome-Based Education and provided practical guidance on developing teaching materials aligned with Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), and Sub-CLOs. The session emphasized the importance of systematic and outcome-oriented instructional design in supporting effective learning processes.
Held in an interactive and collaborative atmosphere, the workshop enabled participants to actively engage in discussions and share experiences related to quality assurance practices and the implementation of OBE in teaching and learning activities. The outcomes of this workshop are expected to strengthen the capacity of quality assurance members at the faculty level and serve as a foundation for further implementation at the departmental level.
Through this workshop, the GPM of the English Language and Literature Study Program reaffirms its commitment to continuously improving academic quality and ensuring the effective implementation of Outcome-Based Education within the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, UIN Alauddin Makassar.
