Gowa – The English Literature Study Program (BSI), Faculty of Adab and Humanities, UIN Alauddin Makassar, has once again demonstrated its commitment to academic excellence through the research achievements of its faculty members. One of its lecturers, Sandra Dewi Dahlan, S.Pd., M.A., has been awarded funding under the 2026 Study Program Development Research Grant scheme established by the Faculty of Adab and Humanities.
According to the Dean’s Decree on the Appointment of Researchers and Study Program Development Research Projects for 2026, Sandra Dewi Dahlan and her research team secured funding for a project entitled “Pelatihan Penulisan Sastra Kreatif Berbasis Moderasi Beragama Melalui Think Pair Share.” The project is registered under Research Registration Number 261020000128597 and is designed to contribute to the academic development and quality enhancement of the English Literature Study Program.
The research reflects the faculty’s ongoing efforts to strengthen innovation in teaching and learning while fostering a research-oriented academic environment. By focusing on creative writing and religious moderation, the project addresses contemporary educational needs and promotes values of tolerance, dialogue, and mutual understanding through literary expression.
An important feature of the project is the active involvement of students as members of the research team. This collaborative approach provides students with valuable opportunities to engage in scholarly activities, develop research skills, and gain hands-on experience in academic research. Such initiatives support the implementation of research-based learning and contribute to the development of future scholars and professionals.
The study employs the Think-Pair-Share learning model, a collaborative instructional strategy that encourages participants to think critically, discuss ideas with peers, and share their perspectives with a wider audience. Through this approach, the research aims to develop an effective training model that enhances creative writing skills while integrating the principles of religious moderation.
This achievement represents another milestone for the English Literature Study Program in strengthening its research culture and academic productivity. It also contributes to the program’s broader mission of advancing knowledge in the English language and literature while integrating educational innovation, societal relevance, and ethical values.
Through accomplishments such as this, the English Literature Study Program continues to reinforce its commitment to the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the areas of research excellence, innovation, and community impact.
