The Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Alauddin State Islamic University of Makassar held a community service program in collaboration with the DDI Mangkoso Islamic Boarding School and was attended by four departments; English Language and Literature, Arabic Language and Literature, Library Science and History of Islamic Civilization. This activity was held for one day and located at the DDI Mangkoso Barru Islamic Boarding School, South Sulawesi.

Focusing on the English Language and Literature department, the head of the department Dr. Rosmah Tami, S.Ag., M.Sc., M.A., sent several students and lecturers to carry out service at MA Putri DDI Mangkoso, located at Campus III Bulu Lampung, Mangkosos Village, Soppeng Raja District, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi Province. Raising the service theme "Speak up your confidence" describes the hope for MA Putri DDI Mangkoso students to be able to boldly express their opinions using English.

This community service process is applied in a short form of teaching regarding how students are able to develop their confidence in using English. The importance of English in life is explained by Dr. Djumharia Jamereng. M. Hum as supervisor in her closing statement, said that learning English is not an instant thing, to build self-confidence you cannot just use it one day during service, learning English requires extraordinary perseverance to master it. Therefore, he expressed the hope that community service carried out by students and lecturers majoring in English language and literature could be an incentive for students to develop their skills.

The same hope was expressed by the head of the MA Putri DDI Mangkoso Islamic boarding school.
